ACL Fun and much more

A few things have changed around here in the last couple months. Because I am the worlds biggest clutz now. On Dec 8th 2009 I slipped and fell on the wonderful ice/snow outside of our house. I thought I really messed it up right at first due to the pain I was in. Thanks to a nice nearby neighbor I got up and got home. I was sore, but walking and fine. A few days later I realized I was NOT fine and something was wrong. After a few doctor visits and 1 VERY small and creepy MRI, they determined I had torn my ACL and minicus in my right knee. ( On the same leg as previous injury just a few months before) I ended up needing surgery because it was just extremely unstable. SO, I had my ACL repaired on Jan 26th of this year. Fun start to a year right? It has a been a long and painful Physical Therapy process...but it IS improving day by day. Thankfully I had my mom here to help me with the babies. I (and Brandon and Megan) would have been...well it wouldn't have been good for either of us. I am SO thankful for all she has done for us. It means more than she will ever know. THANKS MOM!!! Love ya!!!

Here is a wonderful picture of me the day after surgery...fun fun it was.

The reason I fell...

Onto more exciting things...Ryker is now 16 months old, and will be 17 months old in a few days. He has changed so so much over the last few months. He is SO much fun and loves to entertain us ALL day. He is a ball of energy and I LOVE it. ( 99% of the time anyway)

Here are a few recent pics of Ryker being Ryker...

Some say we look alike?

Full of smiles

We heard of place here called lollipop haircuts for kids. It was supposed to be geared to children, and you get a picture and a certificate for going. This was Rykers 10th or more haircut, BUT only the second ever in a actual "salon" place.
You decide how you think it went.....
This is the start of the cut

He screamed and cried the ENTIRE time. Poor guy.

This is the certificate he got with a lock of hair. They also took a picture for us and it turned out pretty good. After he got out of the chair and saw Elmo was on TV...he was fine.

He got to get a faux hawk. We thought it would look cute. It can be done up and look normal too..so ..why not? Turned out pretty cute I think.

Someone else growing like a weed is our beautiful niece Gabby Gab. She is doing so much now and is also....everywhere.

He likes to play Wheres Ryker behind the curtains...got a good shot from it.

We had a chance to let Ryker play the other day since the temps rose a little bit.

After a mouth full of snow....

Our little Brad Pitt....

Another good "wheres Ryker" pic

Gabby and Ryker playing and loving on Elmo...we love Elmo in this house.

The next thing on the list for this family....we are all anxiously waiting on the arrival of Brandon and Megs bundle of joy, baby boy..........????

We cant WAIT!!

Winter 2009

This winter has started out with ALOT of SNOW SNOW SNOW.
We took some of the downtime to take some fun winter pictures
Mandy trying to get out of the garage...we had to shovel a space for her to get through.
This is outside our front door..about 3 or 4 feet of snow blocking the door.
At the start of the large amount of snow...so pretty on some of our lights.

On the day of our worst blizzard in 30 years, while the winds died down we wanted to test out Rykers new snow suite.

He was having lots of fun with Mandy out in the snow.

It was cold..but we made the best of it.

Growing babies and haircuts

Shortly after Ryker turned 1, My very good friend Ashley came over and gave Ryker his first "big boy" haircut. He looked sooo handsome.
Here she is cutting his hair. He got special treatment and had a stylist come to his home and give him a cut while watching Baby Einstein.
Here is Gabby and Ryker...growing like weeds

It's been a while

We have not been able to catch everyone up on things in a very long time. Our computer crashed a few months ago leaving us no way to update our friends and family.

One of the first big things that has happened is that our little Ryker turned 1! We had a great big party with family and friends at Brandon and Megans house on October 10Th. (his actual birthday is oct 13th) Ryker had LOTS of fun with everyone who came to celebrate the big daywith him.
The catipillar cake for the guests

Some of the food
Getting ready to eat some cake
The plate Grandma Williams made for Ryker to eat his cake on every year
Rykers very own special cake
The aftermath of the cake experience, he did well.

We cant believe our little baby is 1 already. They really do grow up SO fast.

October 11th, 2009
While some family was in town, we decided to go to the pumpkin patch where we went the day before Ryker was born. We picked out our pumpkins from the patch, and even though it was cold, we had a great time.
Ryker checking out the animals

Fun at Howell tree farm

He loved riding around in the wheel barrow
Grandma Williams and Grandma Spihlmann
Ryker also got a new "big boy" car seat for his birthday. He loves it!
